The Patchwork Quilt Country Inn in Middlebury,
Indiana has the exclusive distinction of being the only
restaurant and bed and breakfast in northern Indiana to
earn the highly coveted International Restaurant and Hospitality
Rating Bureau's Five Star Award of Excellence. The Patchwork
Quilt Inn was also ranked nationally in the Top 100 in both

and analysis by a Bureau member. The Bureau member toured
each guest room and the entire facility as well as reviewing
the menu and recipes. He sampled foods from the buffet and
breakfast items and interviewed staff members, using a rating
questionnaire developed ;by the Bureau.
The Patchwork Quilt Country Inn has a
rich history of excellence, and new owners John and Adrienne
Cohoat are determined to carry on that tradition. They have
brought back many of the original recipes, expanded the
menu and restaurant hours and enjoy personally interacting
with guests at the restaurant and Inn.
The Patchwork Quilt Inn was established
in 1962 at the site of the historic Lovejoy farmhouse, built
in 1875. Since it's humble beginnings, the Inn has been
popular with locals and travelers alike and has grown considerably.
The Cohoats purchased the property in 2002.
