Visit From Family

I have to write this and say  that we had visits from family members that I have not seen in two years. First visit was from my brother Colin and he was up at the inn to hunt. It was a great time and was good to see him. I hope soon to see his family Tabby and the kids. The second visit was from my brother Wayne and my friend his wife  Juanita, it was also a long time sense I have seen them and we all had a good time. They where here to have a vacation and that was needed. It has been a long time that I kept in touch with family sense mom died the family just drifted apart and went in there own directions which seems to happen to alot of families. Next year I do plan on having a family Christmas here at the inn and I cant wait to see the family together again. The most I enjoyed with this family is when mom and dad where alive is that we all got together on Christmas eve and had a big dinner and after that we all sat down near a fire place and dad recorded all of the grand kids to us big kids singing Christmas songs and that feeling has been gone for a long time and to do it all again with our kids and grand kids will be the best Christmas I could ever ask for. My favorite song was by dad chest nuts roasting on a open fire and I hope that one of the brothers or my husband or my son will be willing to sing this song . More to come soon.

My Girls are leaving

I am sorry to say that Sam and Heather will be leaving Monday Oct 12th 2009 for Maryland. They started here at the Patch in Feb when Ed &I bought this Inn.  They have come a long way when they first started, there was so much to clean and organize that when they said they where heading back to Maryland in Oct they gave me a promise that they would finish what they started and I am so happy that I had that extra help to get the Inn back up and running.  It is sad to see them go but I know in my heart they need to lead their own life. One day I know they will return to see what has been improved to the Inn and to enjoy all the hard work that they had done at the Patch. Ed and I wish them the very best on their new journey. Well I’m glad I had time to blog  and will return soon. Tammy
