“Changes”

The poem I am writing for Tammy for our 25th anniversary is not completed as of yet. I guess I have what is called writers block. So until I have it ready I am posting the poem “Changes” I wrote this poem when Tammy and I were going through some tough times like all married couples have. This poem is published in the book (The Colors of Life) on page 3. I hope you enjoy the poem and please feel free to comment on it.

“Changes”

I know that people change in many different ways. And I know the changes never happen in a day.

Most people make changes over a long period of time and the changes they make never have any rhythm or rhyme.

Through out the years we’ve have changes a lot. Some of the changes were for the good but most of them were not.

The reason we make changes I do not fully understand but the consequences of them are now in our hands.

Most changes are small and do not seem like there much but when you put them all together they can kill even love.

Can people change back once it too late or is all their love just gone to waste.

Maybe it’s not all for waste if people are willing to make small positive changes along the way.

I have made mistakes and you have made some to. I have taken you for granted, as so have you.

I sit here and wonder was it even love at all or was I just here to break your fall.

I’m willing to make changes if you can make a few too so our many years of love can forever stay true.

That’s why I named this poem “Changes” and this one I have written just for you.

The poem was written on July 21st 2003 for my “Brown Eyed Girl”  Tammy

“So you don’t say”

As I read the online surveys it seems that a few of the guests make mentions of strange things in the old part of the Inn. We have had a couple of guests talk to us about it but I truly never took them too serious. If any guest have had anything out of the ordinary take place while visiting the Inn lately or prior to Tammy and I purchasing the Inn please leave a post or comment in the “slightly strange” category.

Contest rules, terms and restrictions

The rules are fairly simple. You must agree that we can use your name and likeness in any of the publications we use to promote business for the Inn. I will email a notice that you have won a contest and you must reply that you have read and agree to the rules and terms as described in this post.
The restrictions and blackout dates are as follows.

Any National Holidays and Notre Dame sports home games.

The one free night is for a standard room for 2 guests.

The certificate must be used within one year from the date issued.

There must be a standard room available for the night you have chosen.

We will mail you a free night gift certificate which is transferable.

Rules and restrictions may be updated at anytime.

The Innkeepers themselves DO NOT pick the winner. A number is assigned to each person who participated in the survey 30 days prior to the first saturday of every month. All numbers are then written on a piece of paper folded and put into a hat. At that time a Guest currently staying at the Inn picks a number out off the hat and viola there’s the winner.
