The Patchwork Quilt Country Inn is located in Middlebury Indiana. It is conveniently located 1/2 mile north of the Middlebury exit off of the 80/90 Toll Road. Just turn North (left) off of the Toll Road onto SR 13 and drive approximately 1/2 mile to the traffic signal light, which is the intersection of State Road 13 and County Road 2. Turn left (west) and travel 1 mile and you will find yourself at the entrance to the Patchwork Quilt Country Inn.

Today's Amish are guided by their faith, which dictates that they forego ownership of modern amenities such as electricity, automobiles, and telephones. They choose this way of life to follow their interpretation of teachings of the Bible and to retain the solidarity of their community. ****** The Amish faith also strictly forbids violence or warfare. ***** Amish people dress in very simple style, avoiding all but the most basic ornamentation. Dark colors are the basis of the wardrobe; colored shirts with no pattern may be worn by both genders. ***** Amish people are forbidden to take photographs. They believe that photos lead to pride. ***** Formal education ends with the eighth grade. After this, Amish boys begin an apprenticeship to learn a trade, while Amish girls are taught the skills necessary to maintain the home. *****
